Jaydon's birthday

Hello everyone. Well it has been a while since I last posted. Things have been rather hectic, but fun. Jaydon turned four on Friday. He is growing up way to fast. We had his two good friends over for a couple of hours. We played a few party games. Pass the parcel. Very tricky to play with 3 kids, but they enjoyed it. We tried Statues and bobs. That was hilarious. "No Idea". We had some party food and fruit for lunch and the rest of the time was spent outside on the slippery slide and the paddling pool. the kids had an absolute ball. they were laughing and giggling the whole time. Then callum and georgia had to go home. Below is a picture of Jaydon with the bike tha he got from us for his birthday. He was so excited that he got a big bike like daddy's.
This is the cake that I made for Jadyon. He wanted a number four with cars. We had a little bit with the kids after their slippery slide and left the rest for his second birthday on sunday.

We turned the jumpy castle into a paddling pool. We got rid of the air in the bottom section and filled it with water. fantastic idea daddy. He loved it.

Dave had to work friday morning, came home the party and then had to go back to work,so Jaydon had to wait for the rest of his presents. He said it was great as he got presents all day.

Then Saturday night we went down to the beach for Gergia's birthday dinner. Another enjoyable party. the kids went for a swim, we had pizza and salad for dinner and then the kids played some party games. Once again, an enjoyable party.

Then on Sunday, we had my family for lunch. As jaydon called it"My family birthday". We had a BBQ for lunch and jaydon received some more great presents. So the family got to play all of his birthday games. A weekend which started and ended with excitement. We all enjoyed ourselves. Well, that's all for now. Gotto go and get Jaydon from daycare. Speak to you all soon.

Sale -a- bration Cards

On saturday I held a Sale-a-bration workshop at my house. The girls and I had a lovely time making the cards and talking about everything craft and what not. Here are the cards I promised. 1. This card was cased from Lynda in my stamping group. She used the "birthday Whimy" stamp set. The base card was yo yo yello, only orange and the red background was stamped in white with the "itty bitty background". The stamp was coloured using SU Markers in yellow, orange and red.
The sketch of this card was cased from Louise. I changed the stamped image to one of the "nice and easy notes" and used the "Au Chocolat" double sided paper. Chocolated chip card and ribbon were also used. The nice and easy notes image was coloured using the water colour wonder crayons and the blender pens.
This card is m ine. The base image is "night of navy which is a little tricky to see in this image. I also used night of navy for the greeting from "warm word" and the stamped images from "stem silhouttes. The ribbon is silver organdy ribbon. Sponge daubers were used to create the soft effect in the oval. I also paper pierced each corner of the whisper white card stock.
The card is stamped using itty bitty backgrounds, heartfelt thanks for the main image and sincere salutations for the greeting. The main background is stamped on Mellow moss. I used the SU markers to stamp the heartfelt thanks image with mellow moss and perfect plum.
This card was made by my good friend Esther. The card is stamped with Elegant eggplant(EE) in onto elegant eggplant cardstock. The flowers are also stamped with EE onto whisper white card stock and matted with black. It is quite tricky to see from the photo, but there is a rhinestone in the middle of each flower.

There you have it. Fun and games. I hope you enjoy.

Sale -a- bration

Yesterday I spent most of the day preparing for a workshop I am holding at home tomorrow. I am really happy with the cards that the girls will be making. I hope they like them. Will post the pictures of them after the event just incase anyone is reading the blog. Want the cards to be a surprise. The exciting part about the Sale-a-bration this time is that if anyone chooses to place and order, and it is over $100 they get to choose a free set of stamps from a set of 4 already chosen by stamin' up. They are really nice stamps. I suppose if you were going to spend a bit of money, now is the time to do it while the freebies are on.

Also some exciting news about Kaitlyn. On Monday she took 3 steps without holding onto anything. It was sooo cute seeing her wobble all over the place. And as of today she is up to about 10. She looks too little to be walking. That's because she IS! Obviously she is still crawling most of the time as it is so much faster. I think she just wants to be like Jaydon. Buzz around everywhere.

At the moment, we are counting down the days until Jaydon's 4th birthday. He is having a few friends over on Friday for lunch and then Sunday, my family are coming for lunch. He doesn't understand why everyone can't come on Friday. (Trying to explain to him that everyone is at work is a task in itself.) He is looking forward to turning 4. At least we will get one more spoon of dinner out of him when he does't want to eat any more. He will have to have 4 instead of 3.He He He!!!

have a lovely weekend and see you when I post those pics of the sale -a-bration.

Sorry, couldn't help myself. Had to post some pics of the kids. The one with both Kaitlyn and jaydon was taken the other day, ans the same with the one of Jaydon by himself. The one of Kaitlyn was taken on Christmas day.

See ya

christmas Lights

Here are the christmas light photo's I have been waiting for. Jaydon had such a lovely night and every house we went by, he was telling Dave which lights he should buy for our house next year. Here's hoping! YOu can see why someone his age would be so over whelmed. Kaitlyn was making the same amount of noise as Jaydon, but goodness knows what she was oohhing at.

Christmas Calendar

I made a calendar for mum this christmas. I wish I had have made one for myself. I really love it, hence why all the photo's. Hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I enjoyed making it. The photo's are all out of order as how the calendar was presented, and each calendar page had a matching month topper.

I used the cuttlebug for the background on pale plum card and inked the raised flowers with pale plum, perfect plum andmellow moss. The heart in the bottom corner was from the "Simply Said" stamp set. The photo was also matted onto Pale plum card and I paper pierced the edges around the photo's. White gross grain ribbon was added at the end.
This was one of my favourite pages I did on Kaitlyn. All stamping was done on whisper white card. I used the "Wild Rose" stamp set in Pretty 'n' pink and the leaves were stamped in Sage shadow. I used the dazzling diamonds in the middle of the rose buds. Up the side I stamped the word "sparkle" and stuck 3 pink rhinestones on. The paper on this page was SU's but has retired. I used the tag punch for the word "precious" from the "expressive flexible phrases". The buckle is from the hodge podge hardware attached with the blue gross grain ribbon.

Another one of my favourites. Actually all of them are my favourites. The base card for this page was Rose red. I stamped the "Butterflies and Blossoms" wheel on whisper white card at the top and bottom of the page and coloured it in with the Stampin' Up markers. I used the "warm words" stamp set at the side with the clear rhinestones.
This page also used some of Stampin' Up's retired paper. The photo and the words from the "warm words" stamp set are mounted on Brocade BLue card stock. The picture of the stamped family is from the "all in the family" stamp set. this stamp set will be available for purchase in the new catalogue in April. I coloured the family in with the Water colour wonder crayons.
The background for this photo was stamped using the "Wild Roses" stamp set onto whisper white card. The ink colours were apricot appeal and regal rose, the same as the cardstock surrounding the photo. It's not easy to see in this photo, but I have also used the colour spritzer on the white before I stamped the wild rose image.

This page uses the "Stem Silhouettes" stamp set from the current mini catalogue. I stamped this image using elegant eggplant ink and I sprinkled dazzling diamonds onto the flowers. I put silver brads on the corners of the photo.
The stamp set I used on this page was given to all demonstrators as a Freebie for all the hard work that we do. I love it. It is called "Time Well Spent". when our new catalogue comes out, it will be a level three freebie. Anyway, I stamped the images in rose red and then coloured the images in with wild rose and pumpkin pie water colour wonder crayons. I also added a few clear rhinestones in the middle of some of the flowers.
I used the cuttlebug again for the background on this one. The card is glorious green. The top background used the "Lovely as a tree" stamp set and I coloured them in with the water colour wonder crayons.

This page was the cover page of the calendar. The paper is the designer series paper that matches the "Wild Roses"stamp set. The band that goes across the page is on always artichoke card, with non SU ribbon then bravo burgundy ribbon ontop of that. I then stamped the wild rose image in bravo burgundy and the leaves in always artichoke. I actually used the 3d mounting tape to lift the flower off the page. A little hard to see in the photo.
I used some more of SU's beautiful paper for the base of the background with the ege using the cream gross grain ribbon and a buckle from the hodge podge hardware set. I also used two of the brass brads from the same set. The photo at the top was taken of us all at dad's 60th birthday. I try to get a family photo when we are all together. Although if you look closely, Jaydon was not happy about it. Will only have photo's when he is in the mood.
This background uses the SU background stamp. I also used the "cute as a bug" and the crab from "fishy friends". The cardstock and ink used was Brocade blue.

I used the "French Flair" background from the new mini catalogue. This was stamped in close to cocoa. The same colour as the ribbon and the matting for the photo. The brads and the other mat were bashful blue.

There you have it. A complete rundown of the calendar. hope you enjoyed looking at the photo's.

Take care
