Post it note holders

I found some post it notes at the newsagents recently and thought i might be able to make something with them, maybe for use at work or give aways to my hostesses. I remembered to take some photo's this time, so here are my post it note holders.

So there you have it. I really enjoyed making these as they were quite simple compared to some of the other things that I have been making.

Have a great week and speak to you soon.

What a Weekend

Yesterday, we took Jaydon and Kaitlyn on the train for the first time. We told Jaydon we were going to the shops and when we got to the train station, he said this is not the forum. I asked him where we were and then with total excitement "We are at the train station." Everyone that we walked by to get on the train knew it was our first time on the train. Jaydon was beside himself. The trip went so quickly as there was so much for Jaydon to look at and he asked so many questions. Then when we got to the city he was on a different level of excitement. He was in the city for the first time (well the first time that he could remember.) He can always see the tall buildings from the freeway, but now he was amongst them.

When we got there, we met up with mum and danae and the first place that we went to was to show Jaydon Uncle Marks building. We got all the usual 4 year old questions "why is the building so tall .....etc" The rest of the day we just went through the shops, bought a few things, went up and down a couple of thousand escalators and then went to the food court for lunch. Then the train trip home. Jaydon enjoyed it again and counted all the stops on the way home. When we got to the mandurah train station and got off Jaydon asked if we could do it again. He was disappointed so in his disappointment he asked if we could go on the bus. "I've never been on the bus before." I don't think so. Mum and dad needed to go home for a sleep. It was really nice to listen to Jaydon talking about his day to tigger when he went to bed.

Today we went for a bike ride. We rode to the foreshore so that Jaydon could have a play at the playground. The ride their went really well. I am so unfit. Kaitlyn loved the ride. She was giggling quite a bit when we were going down hill. SO was I. No pedalling involved. The markets were on today, which we didn't know about, so there were people everywhere. We parked the bikes and Jaydon went for a play. He had a ball. We then went and bought some lunch and rode to the unit to eat our lunch and go for a swim. We were so hot. The kids had a good splash but the water was freezing. Then for the ride home. That giggle on the way turned into a near cry on the way home in the up hill leg of the trip. My legs were so sore I had to get off the bike and walk it. I was going faster walking than riding my bike. Just as we were about home, Kaitlyn fell asleep. Straight to bed for her and a rest for the rest of us. Another enjoyable day.

This is a card I just made recently for one of my close friends' daughter (Jaydons good friend) fr her 4th birthday. Again I used a Penny Black stamp but everything else was Stampin' Up.
This second card used the Both Way Blossoms stamps set from Level Two in the hostess sets. THe background card uses Night of Navy and all stamped imags on Whisper White. I coloured in the flowers using the Water Colour Wonder Crayons.
This 3rd example is a make n take from one of the workshops I did. The background uses "Simply Said" stamp set. I did the 2 step stamping technique on the background using the versamark stamp pad and the chalks for a lighter effect. The cake is from the "Blooming with HAppiness" level one hostess set. I used the glue and dazzling diamonds on the cake stand. I photocopied the calendar and used the perforating tool on the cutter kit just underneath the staples so that you can rip off the page once the month has finished. The ladies that have made this one, really enjoyed making it.
Well that's all for today. Just playing catchup, so there will most probably be some more in the not to distant future.

Cheers for now.

Cards

I have been trying to tidy up some files on the computer and found some cards that I had made that I wanted to share with you. So here are a few. The first three cards I stamped using the Penny black stamp. I haven't used these in a long time since beginning with SU, but wanted change. I started off making these cards by strying to use the scraps that i had.

The last card is also a penny blck stamp but just with mice. So cute. I coloured in all images using the water colour wonder crayons.

What a Week

Last week was my first week back at school. Wednesday was a shocker, but thursday and Friday were great. So tired by the end though. Mum looked after the kids while Dave and i were at work. They love it when Nanna looks after them and so do I.

i also had a workshop yesterday. It was in Waroona and went extremely well. There were a few beginners and they loved the Stampin' Up stuff, which is great.

Today the 4 of us went to the unit for the day. We went for a few swims in the pool. It is great watching the smiles on the kids faces when they are swimming and Jaydon's giggling. Then while the kids were asleep, well kaitlyn was, Jaydon was reading, Dave and i had a nap. (much needed). It was a lovely day, just the four of us away from home with no home jobs to do. Yeah.
Kids went to bed early tonight, as Jaydon as his second day of kindy tomorrow and they were both exhausted. The rest of the night was ours. All my favourite shows started tonight to. In the middle of watching Greys Anatomy and then Brothers and Sisters is next.

Well I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend. Speak soon. Hopefully will have some photos.

See ya

School Again

Morning everyone. Thought I'd take the time this morning to say hello. Fed Kaitlyn at 5.00, and couldn't get back to sleep so have been on the computer looking at Split coast stampers. Those ladies are so talented. Thank goodness for them I can get my ideas.

Well I had my first real day at work yesterday. Teaching that is. Wow. Nothing like hitting the ground running. It was full on as soon as the kids walked in the door, and didn't stop until they walked out the door. ACtually, it didn;t stop untill I got home at 5.00pm.

The kids in our class are just lovely. The class is unusually small at the moment. Only 19 kids at this stage. Here's hoping it stays that way for a little while.

Jaydon started swimming lessons again for the term. Didn't go well. Mum said he cried the whole time. Hope it goes better next week.

Well I hope you all have a great day. Speak soon.

Jaydon starts Kindy

Another long break inbetween posts. Sorry. Had a busy weekend. We had a going away BBQ for one of Dave's long time friends, Craig. He is moving to Rwanda on Wednesday. So we had a group get together which was very pleasant. A great opportunity for Dave to catch up with his mates which we haven't seen in a long time.

Jaydon started kindy today. During the week, leading up to today, Jaydon was saying he didn't want to go to kindy as he would miss us. I kept telling him he would have too much fun to miss us. I also wanted to get a photo of him this morning, so I also kept saying on monday when you are dressed for kindy, we will take some photos and when you get home, we can send Aunt Nae and Nanna and e-mail. Well, to my surprise he wanted to get in his uniform before Brekky, but was convinced otherwise. Straight after his last spoon of rice bubbles "energy food for kindy" as he called it, he asked if he could dressed again. So off he went, came out of his room with his hands on his hips and said "So what do you fink?" He looked gorgeous. He then asked if he could have some photos. So far so good.

Then just as we were going to leave, Dave got home and surprised Jaydon and said he was going to take him to kindy. He was so excited. We went and had some more photo's outside on the letterbox and then off we went. He talked about kindy all the way there.

He tried to wear his backpack to kindy but it was a little too heavy. When we arrived he emptied out his bag and then went for a play inside. Too many exciting things to do. Then outside for a play is where we left him. I told him we had to go to my room so that i could meet my kids. A big hug and a kiss and all was good. Thanks goodness!

Here are some of the photo's I took this morning.

Well, there you have it. Jaydon at kindy. More updates later. Have a good day.
